PUTTING ENVIRONMENTAL ACTORS CENTRE STAGE For Strategic Environmental Management Analysis (SEMA), the most crucial role in change towards sustainability is played by “environmental actors” i.e., those who are moved by specific environmental concerns and urge other actors on to change. The strategies they may use, the contexts and conditions in which they may succeed, are considered here to be the core of environmental management, both in practice and in theory.
